Hi! My name is Sophie, I am a freshman here at FSU and I just recently started classes in the fall. I spend a lot of time walking around to get to classes and running for enjoyment, so I’ve learned my fair share of campus! I love meeting new people so I’m sure it’ll be no different with potential ‘noles!

Describe your college experience
So far the transition has been pretty good, being away from family and hometown friends is very different but it is definitely something you can get used to. Classes are not too bad either if you’re okay with actually listening and putting in the work!
Favorite class
My favorite class is philosophy because my instructor is quite funny and it allows a lot of room for questions. There are typically no straightforward right or wrong answers so it is a great class to become familiar with lecture style without the overwhelming need to be correct all of the time.
Career goals
After college, the plan is to go to med school and eventually become a dermatologist. I’ve always loved medicine so even if the specialty changes, which it has many times over the last couple of years, I know I’ll love it.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I really enjoy going to on-campus events on free nights or staying in and watching a movie.
