Describe your college experience
The adjustment to college was not too difficult because of the marching band, which gave me an "auto-family." We got right into band camp before school even started, so I had friends before any freshmen orientations. USC has so many opportunities at your fingertips, so it has been my mission to take advantage of everything I can. I truly believe this is one of the best schools in the nation with everything it offers you.
Favorite class
I have too many favorite classes, but I think one of the most impactful courses I have taken was my Social Innovation Design Lab course. This taught me about the user-centered design process and designing products based on research rather than assumptions. I had meaningful conversations with 20 older adults, learning about the pleasure and pain points in their lives to eventually design a product. It completely shifted the way I see problems, now understanding that they are opportunities for positive change. It was an incredible course.
Career goals
I am open to many things, but I absolutely want to work in the social impact realm. I am interested in memory care, non-profit consulting, starting my own business, or education.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is to go to dinner and watch a Disney movie with my favorite people/ close friends at home.
