University of Alabama
Hi my name is Kaitlyn! I’m a sophomore from Tuscaloosa studying finance.
I spent my first two semesters undeclared with English, Accounting, and Biology being my top choices. This past summer I decided to study Finance. I am now taking my general business classes and enjoying them very much. The University of Alabama offers so many opportunities and paths to follow, there is something for everyone.

Describe your college experience
Although I am a bit of a homebody, I have enjoyed the atmosphere at UA. There are so many different clubs available that I have been able to pursue my love of art. The campus is beautiful and that definitely helps with all the walking you will have to do.
Favorite class
I have really enjoyed my math classes thus far. The professors are very friendly and offer tutoring in the math lab. The lower math classes at UA offer multiple tries for tests and homework, allowing you to focus on the material rather than worry about how you will do. Once I get the hang of a formula I find my work to be pretty fun.
Career goals
I hope to find a position in a company that fits with my values. I enjoy fashion, art, and helping others/environment. As a business student I will have so many different paths I can follow, allowing me to go anywhere in the field. I also hope to secure a remote position so I can travel the world.
Ideal way to spend a free night
As I mentioned earlier, I definitely enjoy a night in. I love to hang out with my friends and cook, watch a movie, shop, or go out to eat.
High school or secondary school
I graduated from Northside High school here in Tuscaloosa County. It is a small school with less than 500 students about 30 minutes away from campus.
