Boston College
Senior Economics Major and History Minor
My name is Annie, and I'm a senior at BC originally from Piedmont, California, right outside of San Francisco. I've absolutely loved my time at BC, and have worked to get as much out of it was I can. On campus, I've been involved in finance related clubs, volunteering, and intramural sports. I'm majoring in economics with a minor in history, and have had incredible experiences with BC's core curriculum. Additionally, I studied abroad in Parma, Italy last year in a BC-sponsored program. This past summer, I was a summer analyst at an investment bank, and will be returning full time post-grad.

Describe your college experience
I love BC! My experience, while challenging at times, gave me lifelong friendships and truly changed the way I view the world. While I'm not Catholic, BC's Jesuit roots have taught me to be more reflective and intentional, which has made my time at BC incredibly meaningful and helped me be a better friend, sister, and daughter. Additionally, BC has helped prepare me to thrive after college: the strong pay-it-forward culture meant that dozens of alumni have happily hopped on the phone with me to talk about their careers and have later advocated for me in internship and job applications, and that upperclassmen were glad to help me prepare for interviews and do well in internships. One of the most meaningful parts of time at BC was study abroad, where I was with 30 other BC students at BC's Parma, Italy program. We spent the first three weeks in Florence, taking an art history class, then moved to Parma for the rest of the semester and had the chance to take classes and explore. Additionally, I have loved getting to attend BC football and hockey games!
Favorite class
Courage to Know - this is a seminar class first-years can choose to take, and it helped teach me how to reflect on my life and experiences, and who I want to be in the world. The class introduces readings from psychology textbooks, graduation speeches, and beyond, and helped me become a better writer, student, and person.
Career goals
I will be working as an analyst at an investment bank in New York City.
Ideal way to spend a free night
On weekends, I love going into Boston to have dinner with friends, then heading to the Fenway area for the rest of the night. Alternatively, I also love attending BC hockey games with my friends, then heading back to our apartment to play board games or watch a movie.
