Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was both exciting and challenging, as it opened up new perspectives and opportunities. Moving from a more structured high school environment to the independence of college taught me how to balance academics, work, and personal growth. I quickly became involved in student organizations, taking on leadership roles that strengthened my communication and organizational skills. My courses have been intellectually stimulating, especially as I dive deeper into my major, and I've been fortunate to work on hands-on projects that connect theory to real-world applications. Overall, my college experience has been transformative, pushing me to grow academically, socially, and personally, and I'm grateful for the friendships and skills I've gained along the way.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Data Visualization. I love how it combines technical skills with creativity, allowing me to take complex data and transform it into clear, compelling visuals that tell a story. This class has taught me how impactful good design can be in helping people understand information and make data-driven decisions. I’ve enjoyed experimenting with different tools and techniques to create visuals that not only look great but are also effective in conveying insights. Data Visualization has given me a new perspective on how to communicate data in ways that resonate with diverse audiences, making it one of the most rewarding experiences in my academic journey.
Career goals
After college, I’m eager to step into a data science role where I can apply my analytical skills to solve real-world problems and drive impactful decisions. I’m particularly interested in working in a dynamic environment that encourages innovation and allows me to continue learning and growing in the field. Alongside my career in data science, I hope to travel extensively, exploring new cultures and gaining fresh perspectives. Eventually, I’d love to channel my experience into building my own startup, creating solutions that make a difference. My long-term vision is to retire back in India, where I can give back to my community, mentor aspiring data professionals, and maybe even support local startups.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night would be a relaxed mix of laughter and good company. I’d start by hanging out with friends, catching up over dinner or a casual game night. Then, to wind down, I’d watch a few episodes of *The Office*—no matter how many times I’ve seen it, it never fails to make me laugh. It’s the perfect balance of fun and relaxation!
