Tufts University
International Relations & Economics (Honest Review)
When looking for the right college, many things are impossible to know or can't be found by a college admissions expert, google search, or a campus tour—for example, grade deflation, quantity of general education classes, or the reality of the social scene. College tours will only explain these to you if you ask and are often not allowed to give honest answers. Only current students without affiliations to the university can accurately describe the school's current state. I will provide a 100% honest review of Tufts University to determine if it's the right school for your child. Overall, I believe Tufts is an excellent school, but some aspects that aren't mentioned on tours may be important factors to your search.

Describe your college experience
Going to a college preparatory high school, I was well prepared for the quantity and rigor of collegiate academics at a top school. Socially, I've found that Tufts students are outgoing and making friends is easy and happens naturally here.
Tip for future students
Be authentically you in your college admissions. Colleges prefer someone against the grain rather than the same cookie cutter template student that they get thousands of applications from.
Favorite class
EXP-0008 Dramatizing War. Tufts has an "Experimental College" Where current students or professors at other universities can teach a class on something they are passionate about. The class is about how war has been depicted in literature throughout history.
Career goals
After completing my military service for ROTC, I hope to work in National Security, preferably at the Department of Defense. I'm also looking into private sector international risk analysis.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Go to the nearby college town, Davis Square to get food or watch a movie at the traditional Somerville Theater.
