I am Charlie Rossitch from Kennesaw, Georgia. I am a business major at UNC but am also a pre-dental student that will be attending dental school next fall. I came to UNC as a freshman from out-of-state and wouldn't change my experience for the world. From attending every sporting event I can to participating in clubs and other campus activities, I have loved everything about my time here. I also love to have a good time with friends, and I have gotten to know my way around everywhere on Franklin Street really well.

Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity (served as head of the Judicial Board), Tar Heel Alpha Investment Club (club that holds bi-weekly meetings teaching members how to effectively invest in the stock market -- I served as vice president of communications), Delta Delta Sigma pre-dental honors society, I have completed two study abroad programs with the Kenan-Flagler Business School (one to Thailand for 10 days and one to Portugal for 14 days), I have run the UNC Barstool Sports Instagram and X pages for the last 2 years.

Describe your college experience

I have loved my college experience. I have found a perfect balance of being a scholar and putting school first and having fun with my friends. I have taken advantage of the excellent UNC athletics programs by attending almost every UNC football and basketball game. I have excelled in the classroom, and also met some of my best friends for life. I have loved UNC so much in my undergraduate years that I will be returning for 4 more for dental school.

Tip for future students

Keep school first. It can be challenging to try to balance that, fun, and other responsibilities being on your own for the first time. Try to get a good jump on each class early in the semester so you know what to expect when you look into scheduling your week. With that being said, also remember that college is the last buffer between you and the real world. Make sure to find time to enjoy yourself because college is a whole lot of fun.

Favorite class

BUSI 500 (Entrepreneurship and Business Planning) -- This class is a business school class but open to all majors. In this class (Fall Semester version only), you are tasked with designing a product(s) and selling it to raise money for Make A Wish and UNC. I loved being able to get creative, create a network, and sell my product with my team. It was awesome because the class was based in hands-on learning, which kept it fun and interesting. I was able to raise almost $10,000 with my team.

Career goals

I am going to be in dental school (still at the University of North Carolina). After completing dental school, I plan to work as a dentist and eventually own my own practice.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I like to pick a new spot to try for dinner on Franklin Street or return to one of my favorites like Four Corners or Bandidos with some friends. From there, I like to either hang out at my fraternity house or check out some of the bars on Franklin Street. I love any activity that involves hanging out with others.
