My name is Arjun Shah, and I am a first year student at the University of Georgia. I am in the Driftmier College of Engineering pursing a Biological Engineering Undergraduate degree. I live at Hill Hall but have classes all around campus, allowing me to become one with the campus here!

Describe your college experience
I was scared at first leaving my family, people who I have been with my whole life. However, I knew that the next part of my journey would be great, and I can vouch for that so far. Balancing school and a social life to this degree to this degree was a little rough at first, but it became wonderful after a little bit of adjusting!
Tip for future students
Any tips I would give to future students is to not lose focus on your main goal. Get involved in a lot of clubs and extracurriculars so you can see what to tend to levitate towards. This will help you find your passion and a group that is like-minded.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Computer Engineering. This class is located in the Driftmier building in south campus, and the staff here is always phenomenal. My professor, Dr. Yoder, is someone who teaches with passion and I looked forward to learning about the next big topic every Monday and Wednesday at 9:10am!
Career goals
After college, I hope to have a steady internship that can lead into a full-time job or help gain more experience for a similar position. This will let me put my degree to use in the Biomedical side and hopefully be in touch with a bunch of companies on the side of medical devices.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night in Athens is to gather a bunch of friends and head down to Ramsey Student Recreational Center, where we play our beloved sport of basketball! After a fun few hours of hooping, we would head to Snelling Dining Commons and end the night with a cold bowl of ice cream with hot fudge!
