Describe your college experience

Going into school I was super nervous transitioning to college considering I was 11 hours from home. However, USC is amazing at transitioning freshmen into the college life and experience. I would highly suggest taking advantage of the tutoring and writing workshop opportunities they offer hear if you are ever struggling with classes because they really help if it's hard getting a hold of your professor to meet. My freshmen year I went to as many welcoming events as I could and it became a great opportunity to meet people outside my clubs and classes. I know live in an off-campus apartment at the Mills with ironically a girl I met from freshmen orientation and two others who I met through my freshmen year. The great thing about USC is there are so many ways to meet people and your people are out there.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip I would recommend would be to create a schedule for yourself. USC is a great school with so many opportunities, but with that sometimes it can be hard to manage. Try not to overload your plate, ad when you find the things you really want to participate in, academic or social, make sure you have time for everything as well as time for yourself.

Favorite class

My favorite class would have to be my forensics class! I got to do all sorts of cool things like analyzing blood spatter and finger printing, and even got to take home case files for myself:) As someone who wants to do something very similar for a living, it was such a cool experience! Most students have to take a 4-credit lab science regardless of their major anyway so I would definitely recommend it if that's something you also find interesting!

Career goals

Post-grad, my goal is to earn my Masters and Doctorate in Forensic Psychology while working as an officer of Intel in the Navy NCIS branch. After that I hope to become a psychoanalysis agent for ATF!

Ideal way to spend a free night

When I have free time with my roommates we really like to hang out together! Recently if we want a calm night, we love getting food in 5-points and either coming back to our apartment and playing games or watching a movie, or going to this super cool pinball place in 5-points called Bang Back Pinball Lounge. Both 5-points and The Vista have so much to do no matter what day of the week it is, always giving students a chance to get out and do something!
