Chemical Engineering Senior at the University of South Carolina
Hey! My name is Trevor, and I am currently in my last semester at the University of South Carolina, graduating in May 2025. Originally from the Northeast US, I grew in many ways coming down South to USC. Through my involvement in campus organizations and by serving as an RA for 2 years, I have a broad view of campus life that I would love to share with prospective students.

Describe your college experience
I knew I wanted to attend a big school, it was simply a matter of where. I was drawn to the University of South Carolina for many reasons, including the campus' beauty, the friendliness of university staff, the wide array of networking opportunities, and a Chemical Engineering program that fit me. Though my social life somewhat struggled my Freshman year, I have since found my niche and I have been enjoying college life since.
Tip for future students
Get involved! Put yourself out there, especially as a first semester student. If you are coming from outside the Southeastern US, you will learn that there are some interesting cultural differences. Choose a major that will land you a good job once you graduate. The parking situation has gone from bad to worse, but outside of that the university itself is pretty great. Unless you are an RA, all non-freshmen live off campus.
Favorite class
ECHE 300 - It introduced Chemical Engineering principles to me, something that I had never seen before, in a way that I could understand and made me interested in the subject.
Career goals
I have an engineering position lined up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that I will begin in June.
