Hi, my name is Gigi and I am a sophomore here at the university of Alabama and I’m currently studying elementary education! I fell in love with this school the second I stepped foot on campus and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at the capstone so far. Describe your college experience

There is nothing quite like living in Tuscaloosa and going to school here at Alabama. Not only are the academics amazing but the campus is absolutely spectacular. My favorite is game days when we all flood into Bryant Denny to cheer on the tide! I also enjoy all the fun activities and awesome dining experiences Tuscaloosa has to offer.

Tip for future students

I wish I had known how fast your time here goes by. It’s feels like yesterday I was moving into my dorm and getting ready to rush. Every weekend there’s always something to do so I recommend saying yes to it all because it goes by so quick.

Favorite class

My favorite class thus far would have to be my public speaking class. It truly taught me so much and has helped me tremendously in all of my other classes.

Career goals

I intend on reviving my bachelors in education. And then going to earn my masters to eventually work on school boards within a curriculum standpoint.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I feel like there’s always something to do here every night truly. But if I had a free night I would definitely find somewhere to get take out with my friends and set up a picnic at the dock.
