Describe your college experience
College has been a transitional period for sure. I was already a pretty independent kid going in, so homesickness was not as much of an issue for me as other students, but it still hit! It has taken a minute for me to acclimate to college-level academics in some areas, but I have adjusted well. I have had a wonderful time being involved on campus and am always looking for new opportunities.
Tip for future students
I wish I'd kept in mind that change is the only constant in life. Life is going to throw you many curveballs, and all you can do is try to catch them and figure out the best way to go from there. Also don't forget an umbrella.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been my model UN class. This class was very hands-on and taught me a lot of teamwork and leadership skills I've never experienced in any class previously.
Career goals
After college I want to move to DC and find work in politics.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is in good company!
High school or secondary school
I attended Porter Ridge High School in Indian Trail, North Carolina.
