Describe your college experience
My experience in college has been very great and full of really exciting opportunities! I've had some semesters that have been a bit rocky, but overall I've had a pretty smooth transition to college and my adult life. NYU has given me the space to explore new interests and environments, as well as meet some really great people!
Tip for future students
Something I wish I had known before starting school is that there are definitely going to be some challenges I'm going to face that I've just never experienced before. But it's going to be okay! While I've had a really incredible experience in college, I've had to go through some difficult times but what really helped me through it was surrounding myself with supportive, genuine people. So my best tip for future students would be to surround yourself with good friends--people that can be there for you through the best times and the more difficult ones.
Favorite class
My favorite class was my sophomore year contemporary voice workshop. I really enjoyed how much freedom I got in that class and how I was able to experiment with different approaches to my music. The class was an extremely close-knit group and the support I received both from my classmates and professor created such a positive space that I will always value.
Career goals
After college I will continue to gig around the city and work on my music professionally in the studio and in live performances. One day I hope to be a successful recording and touring artist, both as a singer and songwriter.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night is to have a chill evening hanging out with my roommates, ordering food, and watching Grey's Anatomy.
