Describe your college experience
The transition from high school to college was night and day, getting settled into campus was pretty easy, but the classes was really where I seen the most dramatic change. One thing that I have learned from my previous semester here is that if you are struggling you must go get help, don’t be scared, NC State has so many resources to ensure your success while you are here. While academics is a big part of school, having a social life outside of that is very important, there is an abundance of clubs, organizations, fraternities, etc. here at State that are all very welcoming and interested in getting to know who you are as a person, you will have no problems finding people that relate to you and share similar interests.
Tip for future students
One piece of advice that I can’t stress enough wherever you may end up is that if you are struggling go get help, these schools are built to help you succeed. Things such as tutoring, study groups, office hours are all there to help you out succeed and you must take advantage of them even if you aren’t understanding just one thing.
Favorite class
My favorite class by far has been my a course from this semester and it is E101, it is engineering class where you are really engaged and doing hands on work.
Career goals
My plans after college are to obtain a job at either a company that specializes in HVAC work or an engineering firm, I plan to work there for 5-6 years and take the experience I gain from there and open my own engineering firm or HVAC company.
Ideal way to spend a free night
During the week days I like to just chill in my dorm and hangout with my roommate while listening to music, but on the weekends I have a couple buddies in a fraternity that I like to hangout with, other than that going out to basketball ball or football games is another thing that I thoroughly enjoy to do when I can get a ticket.
