Describe your college experience

Coming to college, especially with Virginia Tech being so far from home, I was met with a lot of stress and worry as to what the experience would bring. I was worried about making new friends and academically thriving in a new environment. I found that Virginia Tech is a true community, the vibe on campus was incredible. I found it very easy to make friends around campus, and the professors really want their students to succeed. I joined greek life which opened me up to a new group of friends, as well as a web of connections. My studies have led to two internship opportunities that have both greatly boosted my resume.

Tip for future students

Prioritize academics before anything, but always find free time to make memories with friends. Walk around campus more than you think you should, it is a beautiful place and I've found myself making friends on random excursions through campus.

Favorite class

Political Theory was my favorite class, I was able to grow my knowledge of theory and apply those theoretical frameworks to legislative inquiries.

Career goals

I want to lobby after college on the hill.
