Describe your college experience
As a student from Los Angeles, I chose Berkeley because I wanted to be far enough away from home that I could start a new life, but close enough that I could still go home on weekends or whenever I needed to. So far, it’s been a great choice. The people are amazing, the weather is great, and the culture is second to none. Plus, it has it all: D1 sports, a strong fraternity/sorority culture, great academics, and inspiring professors. To be honest, I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
Tip for future students
I would recommend any future students to be open to trying knew things and open to talking to as many people as possible because everyone is here for a reason and is very interesting. Additionally, this is a great school but with that comes rigorous classes so be prepared to really spend a lot of time studying. I'm not trying to scare anybody but academics are a big part of the life here so just be ready to learn a lot, which is not a bad thing at all.
Favorite class
So far my favorite class has been, Intro to Finance because I learned so much about finance and I am very passionate about finance so it was good to learn from some of the smartest people in the industry. I collaborated with my classmates a lot in that class and was exposed to a bunch of new information.
Career goals
I hope to work on Wall Street for a bit after college. I want to break into Investment Banking and learn the ins and outs of business. After that, I'd like to be in VC or eventually become a CFO but that is in a long time so that may change.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is hanging out with friends whether it be chilling at home playing Monopoly or going out to parties and just having a good time. Berkeley is very work hard, play hard so a lot of us like to have fun if that's what you're looking for.
