Describe your college experience

I moved to LA to attend college. Although I also attend AP curriculum (which should be similar to introduction college classes) in Beijing, I found it quite different here in UCLA. UCLA is a very large and interesting school, and there are always things going on around the campus. Luckily I found my people and try different things in UCLA. I would like to share my experiences with you in detail and answer your questions about college life here.

Tip for future students

Don’t hesitate to try the things you like, clubs, sports, classes, etc. There are so many opportunities in UCLA but we need to find and grab them ourselves.

Favorite class

My favorite classes are PS30 with Professor Chew, and History 1A with professor Goldberg. I would also recommend PS116B with Professor Panagia. These classes are super engaging and give you inspirations. They might sound not so useful as an accounting class or a CS class but they are very mind blowing.

Career goals

I would like to work in consulting or HR managing fields after college, since I like to interact with people during problem solving processes, and I like to create value by combining resources. After gaining some working experiences I would like to further attend a master’s degree program and enhance my professional skills.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I like to bake something and make myself cozy for the first half of the evening to recharge myself. And then I maybe I would visit my friends or go hang out with them later in the evening. We would night drive to Mulholland Drive and gaze at the beautiful night view in almost complete silence.

High school or secondary school

I attended Highschool Affiliated to Renmin University’s middle school section for 9th grade, and attended my 10-12th grade at International Curricular Center of Highschool Affiliated to Renmin University, I have an AP capstone diploma and less than 30,000 people on the world have it. My school is in Beijing, China, and in China middle school is grade 7-9, highschool is grade 10-12/
