Describe your college experience

My transition to college was not terrible, but it was also not great. It was difficult being away from my family and being in a place where everyone around me was a stranger. However, throughout the semester, I have been able to find a lot of friends and mentors through campus involvement. Now, my time here is great, and I would love to help anyone through the difficult process of the worries of coming to a new school or thinking about how to leave home for college.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been one of my GenEds called HIST134- "Famous Trials in American History." The professor is very talented at lecturing in a way that is engaging and interesting, and the topics we have learned about are extremely fun to learn about. Some examples of the trials we have learned about so far are the Salem Witchcraft trials, the trial of Anne Hutchinson, and the Lizzie Borden trial.

Career goals

I hope to continue my volunteer work with raising service dogs while also pursuing a career in law enforcement or criminal justice.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I enjoy going out to eat, and then hanging out either with friends or by myself while watching a movie. If the mood is more extraverted, I really enjoy going to a concert or some kind of on-campus event with my friends.

High school or secondary school

I attended Rockbridge Academy in Crownsville, Maryland from kindergarten-12th grade.
