Describe your college experience

My college experience has been one of learning, growth, and resilience. Along the way, I’ve faced challenges, made mistakes, and learned valuable lessons that have helped me become stronger and more adaptable. Through it all, I’ve taken advantage of the resources available, pushed through obstacles, and ultimately had a rewarding and memorable college journey.

Tip for future students

My biggest advice for future students is to not put too much pressure on yourself—set your own standards and don’t feel the need to follow anyone else’s path. College is a personal journey, and success looks different for everyone. Take advantage of the many resources available to you, like professor office hours, mental health counseling, the professional clothes closet, and the food pantry. These can make a huge difference in your experience and help you navigate challenges along the way.

Favorite class

Surprisingly, my favorite classes have nothing to do with my major! One of them was Sex and Gender, a sociology class that opened my eyes to topics I didn’t even realize I was unaware of. Another was Ancient Science for Non-Science Majors, where I learned about the evolution of scientific thought from Plato’s time to today. Both classes broadened my perspective and made me appreciate how knowledge develops across different fields.

Career goals

My career goal is to pursue jobs that align with my diverse interests. I consider myself eclectic when it comes to what I’m passionate about, which is reflected in my work experience. I’ve interned in engineering, gaining technical and problem-solving skills, but I’ve also worked in sales, developing my ability to connect with people and sell products. I enjoy exploring different industries and roles, and I’m excited to see where my varied experiences take me.

Ideal way to spend a free night

The best way to spend the night, in my opinion, is to be cozy in bed, watching a new show, and enjoying some good food. There’s nothing better than unwinding with an exciting series and a meal that hits the spot. It’s the perfect way to relax and recharge!
