Freshman Psychology major at Tufts Univeristy!

Heyyy! I am Jae and I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I am a psych and child development double major. Around campus I love hanging out with my friends, setting up movie nights for my dorm floor, and grabbing a lemonade at The Sink, our school cafe. I can't wait to show you around.

Describe your college experience

I have truly loved my college experience so far. While it has only been a few months I feel I have found my community. Additionally, coming from a college prep school I felt well prepared for the work load and I find both academics and social life to be very engaging on and around campus.

Tip for future students

My biggest advice is to be yourself! There is so much that is unique to you that only you can bring to the table--embrace it!

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Ethics Bowl with Prof. Russinoff. This class meets for only a portion of the first semester and combines philosophy and debate seamlessly. After reading cases and practicing arguments based on moral schools of thought, the class participates in an ethics bowl, and the winning team of the Tufts bowl gets to move onto regionals and maybe even nationals. It's a great low stake class that is a lot of fun and truly exciting.

Career goals

I am hoping to complete the 5 year child development through the Tufts master's program and eventually get my Ph.D and become a clinical psychologist.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love spending a night watching a movie and cozying up.
