Full time student at UNC who enjoys being outdoors and working with livestock
Hi I’m Sadie! I’m a full time student here at UNC who transferred here as a junior. Previously I was at a 2 year agriculture college and competed on a collegiate livestock judging team. In my free time I go home and work on the farm or really anything to do with animals!

Describe your college experience
It’s been a huge adjustment coming from a smaller 2 year agriculture school to UNC but the experience has been great! Professors and councilors are super helpful when needed and happy to answer any questions I may have. The UNC CAPS center is also a great program to have someone to talk to and has really benefitted my transition here. There are TONs of likeminded and smart people here that are also happy to help!
Tip for future students
Join clubs. Joining a club has really helped with me opening up and talking to a larger group of people. It helped me connect with like minded people who prioritize acedemics. I also highly recommend prioritizing your mental health, these classes are hard.
Favorite class
Human growth and development has been my favorite class, ANTH 318. Although I’m very excited for my upcoming classes, this class has been super engaging and fun while also teaching me a LOT! I highly recommend the class and professor.
Career goals
Veterinary medicine
Ideal way to spend a free night
Relaxing, school is hard and I need all the breaks I can get!
High school or secondary school
Orange County high school, Orange, Virginia.
Previous college
Fort Scott Community College, Fort Scott, Kansas. It was a big transition coming from a small school but UNC made it very easy. The councilors are great to work with it and the orientation explains SO much information!
