Harrison - Sophomore Economics major at FSU
Hello! I am a current sophomore at Florida State University, studying Economics with a minor in Political Science. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio, originally, and am involved in several organizations around campus, including FSU's premier A cappella group All-Night Yahtzee as well as the Marching Chiefs. I have two dogs at home, love music, and love to go on walks around campus in my freetime.

Describe your college experience
I have loved my time at FSU so far. I feel that the staff within my major are generally good people who do care about their students' success. It is easy to get in contact with my professors, and they offer many office hours and personal meetings for students who need that extra 1-on-1 time. The campus here is beautiful, and coupled with the fact that we are a huge sports school, it is a dream come true for me. I was a little nervous about being so far from home and going to a new place for college, but it has turned out to be a great descision for me, as I have gotten to travel all over the south and meet so many new friends!
Tip for future students
Classes will get harder in your second year! I feel like I was coasting my freshman year and had plenty of time for extracurriculars and going out. However, as my sophomore year started, I quickly realized I had to do a lot more studying to maintain good grades.
Favorite class
Intermediate Microeconomics - Great professor if you are able to get Dr. Norton. Super engaging class with material that is explained in a way that students can understand its application in the real world. The math is challenging but gets easier with practice.
Career goals
My dream is to go to law school, but I have also considered pursuing a master's in applied economics and becoming a full-time professional economist for big firms.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I am a big movie person, so my friends and I would regularly have movie nights in our dorm with a projector. We also regularly had game nights and would play both video games and board games together.
