University of Alabama
Hi! I'm Grace; I'm from Chicago, and I am a nursing major here at BAMA!
Hi everyone! My name is Grace, and I am a freshman at the University of Alabama. I am so excited to meet you guys and show you around the best campus ever! Since the moment I stepped on campus when I was 11 years old, I fell in love with this school, and I hope to share the same love with everyone making their college decisions. As a freshman, I know how hard it is to adjust to the college experience, and with all of my experience so far with class, clubs, volunteering, and all of the fun stuff, I can help show you The University of Alabama and see if it's a great fit for you!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college has, luckily, been super smooth so far. Coming to Alabama from Chicago, I was super nervous about getting adjusted and meeting new people. Through class, clubs, and my sorority, I was able to meet so many amazing people within the first month. Every freshman is in the same position and you will find a schedule that is right for you and a group of people you can call your best friends!
Tip for future students
My biggest tip for incoming freshmen is to put yourself out there and be a part of as much as you can. Joining clubs, sports, Greek life, or volunteering can introduce you to so many people that you will have a lot in common. My next big tip is to use all of your resources! Our campus has so many counseling, tutoring, and job opportunities that are available to all students at any time!
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has definitely been my ethics class! It's so interesting and I've already learned so much
Career goals
After college, I plan on moving back home to Chicago to work as a registered nurse. I then plan on receiving my master's and becoming a pediatric cardiology nurse practitioner!!
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night would be out and about with my friends on campus; there are so many fun things to do here! I also love staying in with my group and having a movie night!
