University of North Carolina
Hi, I'm Olivia! I'm excited to share what I love about UNC with you!
I'm a first-year student at UNC Chapel Hill planning to pursue a business major with a Spanish minor while fulfilling my premed requirements. In my free time, I love exercising, baking, reading, and spending time with my friends. I am an active member in several business and healthcare clubs, such as Business Cares, Women in Consulting, Healthcare Exploration and Learning, Carolina Health Samaritan Society, and a Moment of Magic. Additionally, I am in Greek Life here at Chapel Hill.

Describe your college experience
My transition to college taught me the value of flexibility and the importance of making connections. Being in a entirely new environment and only knowing a handful of people, I forced myself to go out of my comfort zone to meet new people and try new things. Although this prospect seemed daunting at first, I made many friends and have had a great time so far at UNC.
Tip for future students
1. Take it easy your first semester - no need to max out your credit hours with all of the hardest classes. For one, if your GPA drops, it's hard to get it back up. Additionally, first semester is an important time to join clubs and go to events to meet people, so you don't want to be stuck in the library all day. 2. Say hi to everyone - you never know if that random person in the elevator could become your new best friend. 3. Be a "yes" person. Go to events and club meetings, try new things - you never know how much fun you might have!
Favorite class
Busi 100 has been my favorite class. It was such a unique class that seemed like a blend of economics, literature, and ethics. It really forced me to think, and I feel like it made me a more educated person.
Career goals
I am not entirely sure what I want to do after college. Currently, I am torn between wanting to be a doctor or a businesswoman, which is why I am majoring in business while also trying to complete my premed requirements.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night would be a dinner party with my friends. We could each bring a dish to share and catch up during the meal.
