I major in psychology with a double minor in criminology and communication studies under the pre law tract. I am in a sorority here at the University which helps me get involved on campus. I am a facilitator for the Reading Allies program where I teach children how to read and write. I am a mentor for Al’s Pals at a local elementary school. I have previously studied abroad with LeadAbroad to Barcelona! I have an internship in Washington, D.C. this summer with the Lex Program.

Describe your college experience

My transition into college freshman year was a bit bittersweet with so many highs and a couple of lows. Once I moved dorms everything turned out to be amazing and the campus supported me along the way. Now I am living off campus with my roommate last year and another one of my great friends and things couldn’t be going better. This place is truly home away from home. Just because there was a bump in the road at the beginning it makes the good parts so much better and I promise everything turns out to be great.

Tip for future students

Just be you! I know that sounds corny, but don’t try to be someone you aren’t to fit in with people that seem to have their life out together or stand out in a crowd. Find the people who will be your maid of honor or your best man because I promise that person is here at the University of Alabama.

Favorite class

Developmental Psychology because it allowed me to understand why people act and respond to scenarios the way that they do. The course allowed me to learn about all stages of life and what how they evolve over time to shape you into the person you are today.

Career goals

I hope to become a family lawyer, but work with elementary students who are struggling learning to read and write.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love to be with my best friends. Whether it’s a night in or always finding something to do. The company’s makes this place feel like home.
