Describe your college experience
I got accepted to USC after I graduated high school in 2020, but I deferred for a year and a half and ended up starting college in spring of 2022. My experience as a spring admit especially after taking a gap year was a little rocky at first, but I soon got adjusted and made some good friends. My time at USC has had its ups and downs, but overall I'm very happy with where I am and the opportunities I've had here.
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid to get out there and meet people! Starting college can be a hard transition if you don't know anyone, especially if you're a more introverted person, and it helps infinitely to have people around you to study with or to explore the area. Another tip-- your dynamic with your roommate will have a huge impact on your college experience, so good communication is key!
Favorite class
CTPR 290-- Cinematic Communication! It gave me my first experiences with having a leadership role in production and seeing my writing come to life on screen. It was a lot of work and difficult at times, but so much fun and such a rewarding experience.
Career goals
I hope to one day make a living writing screenplays as well as directing my own projects.
