Boston College
Senior at Boston College
I’m from Maui, Hawaii and love talking to prospective students about Boston College! I’m an Applied Psychology and Human Development major with minors in Business and Communications so I know a bit about most of the schools within BC. I went abroad last semester, am in Relay for Life, and have worked every semester at BC.

Describe your college experience
It was definitely difficult to go so far from home, but BC did a really good job of helping us get to know other students and putting on events that helped me meet some of my best friends. Now BC is my second home and I enjoy every minute I spend there. Studying abroad was the best decision I have ever made and I’m so happy BC recommends it!
Tip for future students
If you’re still early enough in high school, take as many APs as you can (that will actually get you credit at the schools you’re thinking about) because then you can take more classes you’re interested in at college! Go visit any schools you’re interested in because that’s the best way to see where you think you’ll fit in. Join anything and everything you can until you decide what you like (clubs, sports, jobs, friend groups).
Favorite class
My favorite class was Business Law and that was solely because of the professor I had. He made the class so interesting and fun, but you definitely had to know your stuff in order to do well and participate in engaging class discussions. It was a good balance of work hard play hard and I genuinely enjoyed going to class. A close second and third would be American Sign Language and Mental Illness!
Career goals
I hope to go explore the world and travel for a year (possibly moving to Australia) and then I am hoping to become a flight attendant while earning my MBA.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My roommates and I love to make sweet treats and watch a movie or invite friends over and play board games!
