Senior Economics Student at UCLA & Incoming BA at McKinsey and Company
Hi! My name is Katy, and I'm a senior at UCLA studying Economics and Environmental systems. I have been so lucky to call UCLA home for the past 4 years and would love to share about this amazing school and everything that it has to offer! Coming to a large school can be really intimidating, but it is so worth it; I am happy to answer any questions. I can specifically help students looking to study economics/business or pursue consulting post-grad. (I will be joining McKinsey and Company after graduation!).

Describe your college experience
UCLA has been wonderful! College has ups and downs for everyone, but UCLA is about as good as it gets. It has amazing educational opportunities across all majors and an even amazing community of diverse students.
Tip for future students
1. Try to find roomates that have simalar interests and/or living preferences to you, the triple dorms are small, so having people you get along with and don't just live alongside makes a big difference in how you settle in. 2. Join clubs early!! The hundreds of clubs at EAF (the enormous activities fair) can be intimidating but just apply/join, you can always change your mind but joining later can be harder. 3. Make sure you talk to a Junior/Senior in your major before you start (specifically ask about their post college plans; there are so many pathways at UCLA, you want to make sure you pick one that gives you the future options you want)
Favorite class
Macroeconomic Theory (Econ 102), Managerial Accounting (Mgmt 122), and Energy, Environment and Development (Environ 157)
