I am a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a Forensic Anthropology concentration and an English Minor. I am in Alpha Sigma Kappa, Sigma chapter. I am part of the Undergraduate Association of Forensic Science. I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, so I know a lot about UTK, Knoxville, and the Vols! Describe your college experience

Freshman year, I had some struggles adjusting to the academic rigor and time management requirements of college life, but I have since made my experience incredible! I currently have a 3.67 GPA and am involved in many extracurricular activities in addition to having a part-time job.

Tip for future students

Make sure to go to your classes and keep up with your homework! I know it sounds like easy, basic advice, but this is what really allowed me to turn my academic career around after my first two semesters.

Favorite class

ANTH 419 - The Anthropology of Human Rights has been my favorite class because my professor was very passionate and I was able to learn about the experiences of many different groups of people across the globe. This class really opened my eyes to the injustices faced globally by different groups!

Career goals

I am currently planning to get my PhD or my masters in Forensic Anthropology. I hope to work in forensic research once I have a graduate degree.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love to chill at home with my roommate and watch movies or tv. On a weekend, I will often go to one of the bars on the strip or in the old city with some friends to have some social fun!
