College of Charleston
Sophomore at CofC, New England native
What’s up my name is Franklin. I grew up 30 minutes North of Boston. I played Soccer, baseball, and I swam most of my life. I enjoy fishing, reading, hiking, and I’m a big coffee guy. I am still figuring out my Majors in the field of Biology or Environmental studies. My favorite spot on campus is the library which is lame but it’s the truth.

Describe your college experience
My college experience began slightly rocky. I did not enjoy the first couple months because I was new to the area and shy. But once I started going to campus events and meeting new people, I was able to find different groups which opened up so many opportunities for me. Finding your people allows you to find your place here. I became comfortable with campus and this city, and now I feel like I belong here.
Favorite class
My freshman year English class set the precedent for college writing and allowed me to grasp a baseline for all of my future essays. I enjoyed my intro Environmental class as well because of how interactive the Professor was. You can tell that these teachers want to be here and I think that is refreshing for a student.
Career goals
After college I hope to continue volunteering overseas and traveling. The end goal is a reliable full time job once I settle down.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is going out into our city with friends and ending up back home with a pizza and some TV.
