Describe your college experience
I really enjoy meeting a different diversity of people and integrating myself into different communities as I come from a more international background. These communities and diverse student body give me an opportunity to expand my circle.
Tip for future students
Starting university is an exciting step, and staying organized is key. Use a planner or digital calendar to manage your schedule effectively. Explore a variety of courses early on to discover your interests and strengths, and don’t hesitate to get involved in clubs and extracurricular activities to enhance your social and professional skills. Make the most of campus resources like tutoring centers and career services. Finally, maintain a healthy balance between academics and personal life, and manage your finances wisely to avoid unnecessary stress
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Finance. This subject fascinates me because it combines analytical skills with real-world applications, providing a deep understanding of how markets operate and how financial decisions impact organizations and individuals. I enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems and the dynamic nature of the financial world, which constantly evolves with global economic changes. Additionally, the practical skills learned in finance, such as financial analysis and investment strategy, are directly applicable to various careers, making every lesson highly valuable and immediately relevant.
Career goals
After college, I hope to enter the field of investment banking. I'm drawn to this career path because it offers a challenging yet rewarding environment where I can apply my finance skills and problem-solving abilities. Investment banking will allow me to work on complex financial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, and provide strategic advice to clients, which aligns with my interest in high-stakes, impactful work. I'm particularly excited about the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced industry that plays a critical role in shaping global markets and helping companies grow. Ultimately, I aim to leverage this experience to move into a leadership position within the sector, where I can continue to influence and drive financial innovation.
Ideal way to spend a free night
On a free night, I like to keep things chill and fun. I'd probably kick things off with some good food, either hitting up a new spot or cooking something tasty at home. Then, I’d relax with a movie or dive into a good book to unwind. If I’m in the mood for company, hanging out with friends or family for a game night.
