University of Alabama
UA Sophomore Majoring in History and English
Hello everyone! My name is Brooke and this is my second year at the University of Alabama! As of now, I'm going to double major in history and English with plans to get my MFA in creative writing or go to law school (I'm also pre-law). I swam for most of my life and have dabbled with rec sports here on campus and karate off campus. I'm on the New Member Team for Alpha Psi Omega, a theatre honor society, and I love volunteering with the Metro Animal shelter to take dogs out on "happy hour".

Describe your college experience
Coming from out of state was definitely scary at first, but I managed to find my people really fast and that made this huge campus feel a lot smaller. I love coming to some of my classes because it means I get to be with some of my favorite people. Yes, game days are completely a thing of their own, but I enjoy being on campus, going to the library, and hanging out with my friends just as much, if not more.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been EN 408, Advanced Creative Writing. My professor is amazing and everyone in that class are such good writers and fun people. I genuinely love coming to campus for this class because I know I'm going to learn a lot, but also have an amazing time.
Career goals
Coming into college, I was fairly certain I was going to go to law school, and while that's still a possibility, I want to go get my MFA in creative writing and write, or teach at a university.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a completely free night is being in my apartment, either reading a book, watching Grey's Anatomy, or playing a game on my switch. My friend and I also like watching Dancing With the Stars and just hanging out together.
