Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college has been an exciting and challenging journey. I adapted quickly, thanks to my strong time management skills and experience balancing rigorous schedules in high school. My first semester went well, and I learned a lot about how to prioritize my academics while exploring new opportunities. I've joined clubs, started learning Italian, and worked on building healthy habits like better sleep and staying active. Overall, it's been a rewarding experience that’s helped me grow more independent and prepared me for future challenges.

Tip for future students

One tip I’d give future students is to stay organized, write down all your test dates and assignments at the start of the semester. Time management is key, so don’t wait until the last minute to study. Also, take care of yourself: get good sleep, stay active, and find a hobby like joining a club or playing a sport to balance your academics. I wish I’d known how valuable it is to ask for help early, whether from professors or peers. Lastly, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, college is the perfect time to explore new interests and meet people.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been my Italian 101 course. It’s the first language I've learned that has really stuck with me and sparked my interest. The language itself is beautiful, and it’s been exciting to see my progress as I get better at speaking and understanding it. I enjoy how interactive the class is, and it feels rewarding to connect with Italian culture on a deeper level. Plus, it’s a great balance to my more analytical courses.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career in accounting, ideally in a firm like PwC or RSM, where I can apply my skills and knowledge while growing professionally. I'm also interested in potentially using my Italian language skills in my career, as it could open doors to international opportunities. Beyond work, I’d love to continue exploring different cultures and traveling, perhaps even living abroad for a time. My goal is to find a balance between a fulfilling career and personal growth while continuing to challenge myself.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night would be to relax and unwind with a mix of activities. I'd probably start by playing tennis if the weather’s nice, then enjoy a quiet dinner with friends or family. Afterward, I’d love to kick back with a good movie or work on a personal project, like learning more Italian or reading a book.
