USC Marshall Student & fitness enthuiast
My name is Cooper Pate. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and now live in Wilmington, NC. I started my college journey at Wake Forest University but later transferred to USC. I’m passionate about staying active, whether it's skiing, weightlifting, or training for a half Ironman. I’m a huge fan of music, particularly artists like Tame Impala, Cage the Elephant, and Arctic Monkeys. I am also a big Atlanta Falcons fan.

Describe your college experience
My time at USC has been excepetional due to amazing community and the enriching experiences offered through Marshall like the ELC. Being in Los Angeles adds an extra layer of excitement with so many activities and opportunities to explore, making it the perfect environment for both personal and academic growth.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been BAEP 480 with Professor Napoli on Family Entrepreneurship. It’s unconventional—no electronics or note-taking are allowed, which keeps everyone fully engaged. We dive deep into the unique dynamics of family businesses, making it an insightful learning experience unlike any other class.
Career goals
This past summer, I interned as a Global Markets Summer Analyst at Bank of America on the Asset Optimization desk. While I learned a lot, the experience clarified that my passion lies in the health and wellness industry, and I am now eager to embark on an entrepreneurial path in that space.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night is working out with friends, possibly at the Venice Run Club, and then exploring a new Asian restaurant in the LA area.
