Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was an exciting yet challenging experience. It meant adjusting to a new environment, managing increased independence, and balancing academics with extracurricular activities. I came in with an outgoing personality and a willingness to learn, which helped me build connections and get involved on campus.
Tip for future students
Charleston is an incredible place to kick off your college journey and set the stage for your future career. The city's charm, walkability, and endless opportunities for fun make it a fantastic environment for students. However, with so much to explore, it can be easy to lose focus on your studies. Finding a balance between work and play is key to making the most of your time here. While the transition to college can feel overwhelming at first, you'll soon adapt to the changes. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone—growth often happens when you embrace the unfamiliar!
Favorite class
My favorite classes were Intro to Hospitality and Tourism or Intro to Arts Management. I would consider these classes my favorite because they were right up my alley. There was so much to learn about each career field, and I hope to apply the information I learned in the future.
Career goals
Marketing for an arts organization, or for a prominent company. Eventually, I hope to own a small business.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Ideally, I will go out with my friends, and we will walk around the city. Then, we try a new restaurant and watch a movie back at our place.
